How to Use & Set Up Local Preshow Block Rules

BLOCKS in a playlist can be populated either using external rules sent to the TMS or by creating local preshow rules under PLAYLISTS--Preshow

To create a new preshow rule click +New block

RULES

The Rules tab defines the selection criteria the TMS should use when determining if the Block should be populated.

Any combination of rules can be selected but all must matched for the named block to be populated in a scheduled playlist.

Rule Name

Description

Name

Your name for this preshow rule

Placement

Name of the Block in playlist to target

Priority

If two rules matched the lowest numbered priority is selected

AD, Trailer, Other

The type of Block in playlist this rule will target

Rating

Target feature CPL ratings

Day Of Week

Target specific days of the week

Date range

Target a specific date range

Time range

Target a specific time of day

Content Tags

Target feature CPLs with these tags

Auditorium Tags

Target any Auditorium with the selected tag

Auditoriums

Target specific auditoriums at the site

Playlists

Target specific names playlists

CONTENT

The Content tab is used to define the content to insert if the rule matches when a playlist with this block name is scheduled.

To add content to the block drag the content picker down into the content space

Any number of content items of any type can be added.
