Special Macros are built in macros that perform logical show based functions related to show playlists

Instructions

  1. Special macros can added to a content in a playlist in the same way as automation macros

  2. Drag the Macro pick into a playlist, select the required function and the timecode position

End credits

This macro is used to define the position of the system wide end credits macro typically used to raise the lights as the titles start to roll.

If a feature CPL already has a end credits timecode set when the feature is added to a playlist the timecode linked to the feature is automictically used to insert the system defined end credits macro on the content at that timecode

The macro inserted is defined under SERVICE--Macros--Automation settings--End Credits on the TMS and can be any macro created on the site TMS

Jump Point / Entry Point

A combination used to skip some parts of CPL in performance. Usually used to skip built-in content (adverts or trailers) at the start of the feature CPL in some regions. The common setup looks like that:

In this case TMS will try to skip the first minute of the feature CPL and perform from that point.

GDC and Doremi-based players (Doremi IMS, Doremi ShowVault, IMAX) support serialization of that macro into SPL, so player performs the jump.

It’s important to keep in mind that this functionality might behave different depending on the integration. Please check that it’s applicable in your use case

First Show Start / Last Show End

These macros can be used to automatically insert macros in a playlist of the gap between shows is longer that a duration defined in the properties file. The typical use is to automatically turn the lamp on and off between shows depending on the gap between shows.

The special macro define the positions in the playlist the first and last show macros should be inserted

The macros used are defined under SERVICE--Macros--Automation settings

First show start and Last show end macros should be selected from any macro on the TMS

The time gap between shows is set at a property feature.booking.automation.firstLastGap

The default value is 20 minutes:

feature.booking.automation.firstLastGap = 0 20

Show offset

Used to mark the position in the playlist to anchor to the scheduled playlist start time.

Any content before the show offset macro is played before the scheduled show start time
