The RosettaBridge Theatre Management System (TMS) can adjust the show schedule to compensate for any preshow set in the playlist. It is highly customizable and depends on << Show offset macro added to the playlist.
As an example, we have a show which is booked for 20:00.
However, the show playlist (SPL) has 15 minutes long preshow and << Show offset macro set on the feature for 00:00:00.
In this case, the show will start 15 minutes earlier than was scheduled to compensate preshow. The show will start at 19:45, as it is shown in the Adjusted scheduler mode.
We can also set a different time to << Show offset macro to adjust the schedule even more. Here we set the macro to 00:05:00 which will advance the show start 5 minutes more, and it will start 20 minutes earlier in total at 19:40.
This macro can be used on any playlist block. However, it is a good practice to have it set in POS Import playlist template on placeholder block you consider to be a show start, so all shows imported from POS would apply the same rule.
For example, it could be a feature placeholder block or black pattern block used for automation before it. Also, some cinemas set it to be trailer placeholder block or black pattern block used for automation before it, in this case, trailers are starting the show.
Older method:
Before having << Show offset macro to adjusting a schedule some properties were used (Interpretation changed in 3.20.02, but backwards compatible):
feature.booking.adjuststart with feature.booking.adend or feature.booking.ftrstart
